Status: Signed north-south. Finally signed in 2011, after having been in the system as far back as maps depict (1927), and appears on the first detailed map of 1938. MD 368 was originally used for both current 368 and 568, plus the connecting piece of modern 367 in Bishopville. When the road northeast of Bishopville to the Delaware line was added to the system, it was originally as MD 568, (assuming a no-concurrency policy throughout). Later MD 367 was extended to its current extent, and the 568 designation was switched to the northern piece of MD 368, now severed by MD 367. The current arrangement of routes first appears on the 1950 official map, but this may have been due to the new map style that year. St. Martin's Neck Road continues a long run as an unnumbered county road, connecting to MD 90. |
