MD 915 came about when the eventual MD 100 was built through the Pasadena area, requiring the closure and rerouting of part of MD 648, in which 648 took over all of MD 706 (Waterford Rd.). The two main parts of 915 are the old 648. The other parts resulted from rerouting of some neighborhood streets in the same area when MD 10 was completed with a junction at MD 2 (Ritchie Hwy.).

Sections of MD 915: 915 and 915A are the two parts of the old 648.
MD 915: (Old) Baltimore-Annapolis Blvd. 0.47 mi.; from MD 648 north to Ember Dr. (915H). Southern piece of old 648.
MD 915A: Long Hill Rd. 0.89 mi.; from MD 177 south to road end. Route 648 runs together for about 1.1 miles with 177, but 648 isn't marked.
MD 915D: Irene Ave. 0.13 mi.; between Hastings La. and Arcadia Rd. (915E). 915D, E, and F exist due to completion of MD 10 and resulting change of access to MD 2.
MD 915E: Arcadia Rd. 0.04 mi.; Two dead ends, with Irene Ave. (915D) in the middle. Once accessed MD 2, but it would now be too close to the MD 2-10 junction. Access to MD 2 is now via Hastings La.
MD 915F: Edward Dr. 0.03 mi.; from Hastings La. to road end.
MD 915H: Ember Dr. 0.47 mi.; from Baltimore Annapolis Blvd. (915) west to road end. This section parallels the south side of MD 100, west off the dead end of 915.
