Original 1926 US highway, became US 522 in 1927.

US highway guru Robert V. Droz found US 622 on a 1927 map, along 522's alignment from the Pennsylvania line south to US 40. It was one of the original US highways which lasted for only a year before a rearrangement of routes, which brought 522 down from Pennsylvania.
